Itinerary Highlights

Day 01 Arrive Kolkata

Upon arrival at Kolkata International Airport you are met by our guest relation executive with your name placard who would assist you to the Car and then transfer you to your pre booked Hotel
Afternoon city tour of Kolkata visiting to the Fort William – a fort built on the Eastern banks of the River Hooghly by the Britishers and named after King William III of England, St Paul’s Cathedral, Birla Planetarium and the Botanical gardens.

Day 02 Kolkata – Guwahati (By Flight) & Guwahati – Tezpur (Drive 200 Kms, 5 hour)

Today you are transferred to Kolkata Airport to board flight for Guwahati. Upon arrival in Guwahati Airport you are met and transferred by Private Vehicle for Tezpur – situated on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra, the beautiful historical town of Tezpur is well known for its ancient temples and ruins.

Day 03 Tezpur – Ziro (Drive 310 Kms, 8 hrs)

After breakfast we will proceed to Ziro – the headquarter of Lower Subansiri district of ArunachalPradesh, located at an altitude of 1560metres, is a plateau surrounded by Apatani tribal villages.
Evening free at leisure.

Day 04 Ziro

Today explore the villages of the Apatani Tribes – the inhabitants on the banks of the Kali River in the Subansiri District, are the most civilized people of Arunachal Pradesh. They are a peace loving settled tribe and practice the most modern form of terraced cultivation. Today we visit Hija –Bulla – Hari and Hong village. Hong is supposed be to the largest village in Asia.

Day 05 Ziro – Daporizo (Drive 180 Kms, 8 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Daporizo – the headquarter of the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, located at an altitude of six hundred meters is an inhabitant of Tagin tribes. Enroute you can visit Hillmiri tribal villages at Raga.

Explore Tagin and Hill Miri tribes towards Nacho Lymikin road and Ligu Village.

Day 07 Daporizo – Along (Drive 160 Kms, 9 hrs)

After breakfast, we will drive to Along – the headquarter of West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 300 meters an inhabitants of Adi (Gallong ) tribes. The tribe Adi has different sub tribes which differ from each others like Adi (Gallong, Minyong, Pasi, Padam, Bori and Boker). Afternoon visit Kabo village.

Today full day explore Pobdi, Jirdam and Kabo villages.

Day 09 Along – Pasighat (Drive 140 Kms, 6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Pasighat– the headquarter of East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, located at an altitude of 150 meters, an inhabitant of Adi (Minyong) tribe. Enroute visit the Adi Galong Tribe and enjoy the great view of the confluence of Siang and Siyom rivers, which is the origin of great river Brahmaputra. If time permits visit the local market at Pasighat

Day 11 Pasighat – Roing (Drive 160 Kms, 6 hrs)

Today after breakfast drive to Roing, we have to cross rivers on country made boat and drive past villages and a stretch of jungle to reach to Roing. Reach Roing and check into Mishmi Hill Camp for overnight stay, the accommodation will be in bamboo made cottages.

Day 12 Roing

After breakfast full day visit Idu (Mishmi) tribal villages like Abango, Kurumay and Kubeli. The IDU-MISHMI is a major sub-tribe of Mishmi group. Their brethren tribes are namely the DIGARU-MISHMI (TARAONS) and the MIJU-MISHMI (KAMANS). They inhabit the Lohit district, Dibang Valley district and Lower Dibang Valley district. They are of mongoloid stock and speak the Tibeto-Burman language. The Idu Mishmi is one of the two major tribes of the district. The Idu Mishmis can be distinctively identified among other tribal groups of Arunachal Pradesh by their typical hairstyle, distinctive costumes and artistic patterns embedded on their clothes.

Day 13 Roing – Dibrugarh (Drive 130 km/04 ½ hrs)

After breakfast drive to Sadia Ghat to cross the river and drive to Dibrugarh for overnight stay.

Day 14 Dibrugarh

After breakfast, drive to Tai Phake (70kms/1hr 30min). Enroute visit Nam Phake village - an ethnic village whose kith and kin date back to the Ahom period. The villagers still maintain their age-old culture - a village worth exploring. It is situated near the River Buri-Dihing. A Buddhist Monastery dots the village which belongs to the Hinayana sects. Tai translation of the Ramayana written on handmade paper has been newly discovered in this village. The structures of the houses are unique as the walls are made of bamboo and the roof is of palm leaves (Toko), mounted over a Chang or stilt.
Afternoon transfer to Digboi. Digboi is known as the Oil City of Assam where the first oil well in Asia was drilled. The first refinery was started here as early as 1901. Digboi is the oldest oil well in operation. This place still retains the British ambience, complemented by the clubs and Golf courses nearby. Visit the Oil museum at Digboi. The most dramatic event in Digboi's history took place during the World War II days when the belligerent Japanese got closer and were within three days marching distance of Digboi. These images come back as one kneels at the headstones at the Digboi War Cemetry, praying for a young life nipped in the bud at battle in a strange land far, far away from home.
Return to Dibrugarh.

Day 15 Dibrugarh

After early breakfast leave @ 7am for Barekuri village near Tinsukia (approx 55 kms / 1 ½ hrs drive) for Hoolock Gibbon. Assam has nine species of monkeys — rhesus macaque, Assamese macaque, stump-tailed macaque, pig-tailed macaque, golden langur, capped langur, slow loris, spectacled monkey or Phayre’s leaf monkey and the Hoolock Gibbon. Though Barekuri is not under the jurisdiction of any sort of wildlife protection area, it has a sizeable population of around 20 Hoolock Gibbons. This species is rated as endangered under the Red Data book on Indian Animals and is also a Schedule I species under the Indian Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. After lunch visit Maguri Beel on a country boat (without motor). Maguri Beel is a wetland located just outside the Dibru Saikhowa National Park and Biosphere Reserve. ‘Beel’ is the local name for a lake with marshy areas at the edges. Maguri-Motapung Beel is located in the south bank of the Dibru River, which is a channel of the mighty Brahmaputra River. The Dibru Saikhowa National Park is located in the northern bank of the Dibru River. The Beel is connected to the Dibru River by a system of channels and is very rich in aquatic life. Since the area is not protected, it is heavily used for fishing and grass collecting. However, it is still very rich in biodiversity and is important for conservation of grassland birds and ducks.
Later back to Dibrugarh for overnight stay.

Day 16 Dibrugarh – Delhi (By Flight)

Breakfast in the Hotel and Checkout Later you are transferred to Dibrugarh Airport to board flight for Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel

Day 17 Leave Delhi

Breakfast in the Hotel and Checkout
